Product Details

The Dorman 601-918 High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting ballast is a direct replacement component designed to restore proper xenon headlight operation on select Ford vehicles. This ballast regulates the high voltage required to ignite and maintain the xenon arc in HID bulbs, ensuring consistent light output and preventing headlight failure.

Key Features:

  • Direct-fit replacement for failed OE ballasts, eliminating the need for expensive dealer alternatives
  • Engineered to match the fit and function of the original equipment ballast
  • Regulates voltage and current to HID bulbs for stable, bright illumination
  • Durable construction designed to withstand under-hood temperature extremes and vibration
  • Restores full headlight functionality when ballast failure causes dim, flickering, or non-functional HID headlights

HID ballasts commonly fail due to age, moisture intrusion, or electrical component degradation. Symptoms of a failing ballast include delayed headlight ignition, flickering lights, one headlight not working, or complete headlight failure. This Dorman replacement ballast offers a cost-effective solution to restore your vehicle's lighting performance and safety.

Great

Couldn't find the part I needed on any RV site. You're popped up and I checked to find several in stock. I ordered at a fair price with super fast processing and shipping. Thank you.
