The Skyward Automotive Products SK532767 is a power brake booster (also called a brake booster or vacuum brake booster). It is a round canister that mounts on the firewall behind the master cylinder.

What it does:

  • Uses engine vacuum to multiply the force you apply to the brake pedal
  • Gives power assist so the vehicle is easier to slow down and stop
  • Works with the master cylinder as part of the vehicle's hydraulic braking system

Replacing a worn power brake booster can restore light, consistent pedal effort. Removing the master cylinder to reach the booster means disconnecting the brake lines, so bleed the brakes after installation.
