Fowler 52-646-600 Xtra-Range Telescoping Bore Gauge 4-12 Inch

The Fowler 52-646-600 Xtra-Range Telescoping Bore Gauge is a precision measuring instrument designed for accurately measuring the internal diameter of bores, cylinders, and holes from 4 to 12 inches. This telescoping gauge offers an economical solution for inspecting large bore diameters with reliable accuracy and durability.

Key Features:

• Measurement range of 4 to 12 inches with 0.0005-inch graduation spacing for precise readings
• Measures bores to a depth of 10 inches, providing excellent reach for deep bore applications
• Carbide-tipped anvils deliver extended wear resistance and improved abrasion resistance
• Two-point contact system enables detection of geometry problems such as ovality and taper
• Insulated grip provides extra stability and comfortable handling during measurements
• Chrome-plated handle ensures durability and corrosion resistance
• Includes 2 extension rods for expanded versatility

Telescoping bore gauges are simple transfer-type measurement tools that work in conjunction with a micrometer or caliper to determine bore dimensions. The gauge is inserted into the bore, expanded to contact the walls, then measured externally to determine the internal diameter. Ideal for machine shops, automotive applications, and manufacturing quality control where precision bore measurement is essential.
