Product Details

The Briggs & Stratton 262303 is a Genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) governor spring designed for use in Briggs & Stratton small engines. This precision-engineered spring is a critical component of the engine's governor system, which automatically regulates engine speed under varying loads to maintain consistent performance.

Key Features:

  • Genuine Briggs & Stratton OEM part ensures exact fit and reliable performance
  • Precision-manufactured to strict quality standards for consistent tension and durability
  • Essential component for proper governor operation and engine speed control
  • Direct replacement part for worn or damaged governor springs
  • Designed to withstand high-temperature engine environments

The governor spring works in conjunction with the governor arm and throttle linkage to maintain optimal engine RPM. When the engine is under load, the governor system responds by adjusting the throttle position to compensate for speed changes. A worn or damaged governor spring can result in erratic engine speed, surging, or inability to maintain consistent RPM. Installing this genuine OEM replacement spring restores proper governor function and ensures your Briggs & Stratton engine operates as designed.

Ordering and shipping were quick and easy. I would like to access some videos on installing my purchases.

so far so good....

Easy to find parts and easy checkout

I wish the products had a more detailed description such as listing of it was for the right or left side or the back or front of the vehicle. Having to google part numbers to determine which area of the car was for was quite inconvenient. Other than that it was a great experience with great prices!

All good
