Briggs & Stratton 799175 Governor Spring OEM Replacement Part

The Briggs & Stratton 799175 Governor Spring is a genuine OEM replacement part designed to restore precise engine speed regulation to your outdoor power equipment. This factory-original spring works within the engine's governor system to maintain consistent RPMs under varying load conditions, preventing the surging, hunting, or speed instability that occurs when the governor spring is worn, stretched, or broken.

How It Works:

The governor spring connects to the governor arm and throttle linkage, applying tension that counteracts the centrifugal force of the governor mechanism. This balance determines the engine's operating speed. An original-specification spring is critical — tension variances from non-OEM parts can cause immediate RPM instability and poor throttle response.
