Product Details

The Briggs & Stratton 796658 is a genuine OEM governor spring designed to maintain precise engine speed control on small engines. This yellow-coded spring works as part of the governor system to regulate engine RPM by controlling throttle position based on load conditions.

Key Features:

  • Genuine Briggs & Stratton OEM part ensures proper fit and performance
  • Yellow color-coded for easy identification and correct governor setup
  • Precision-manufactured spring maintains consistent tension for accurate speed regulation
  • Direct replacement for worn or damaged governor springs
  • Critical component for preventing engine over-speed and maintaining stable operation

Governor springs are essential wear items that can stretch or weaken over time, leading to erratic engine speed or failure to maintain RPM under load. Replacing with this genuine OEM spring restores proper governor function and engine performance. The yellow color designation indicates the specific spring rate required for your engine's governor configuration.

Good but looking for a return bc it won't work for the year of my car

Easy ordering experience. I used PayPal and made it secure and seamless. The packaging was superb. The widget used to define the fitment was perfect - I have a '93 British SUV and its not always easy finding exact parts and the fact that it was a Bosch made it better.

Very helpful and fast response times

Parts were what I needed, and in stock

Good so far!

It was simple. 123456789012455778901234567890
