Product Details

The Briggs & Stratton 697799 Governor/Oil Slinger is a genuine OEM replacement part designed for small engines commonly found in lawn mowers, pressure washers, and other outdoor power equipment. This critical engine component serves a dual purpose in the engine's lubrication and governor systems.

Key Features:

  • Genuine Briggs & Stratton OEM part ensuring exact fit and reliable performance
  • Functions as both an oil slinger and governor gear component
  • Compatible with over 1,300 Briggs & Stratton engine models including 08P, 09P, 09L, 10L, and 10T series engines
  • Precision-engineered to meet original equipment specifications
  • Essential for proper engine lubrication and speed regulation

The oil slinger portion of this component rotates to distribute oil throughout the engine's internal components, while the integrated governor gear helps regulate engine speed. This part is critical for maintaining proper engine operation and longevity. When replacing this component, ensure compatibility with your specific engine model number for proper fit and function.

Quick easy checkout. Fair prices

I wish the products had a more detailed description such as listing of it was for the right or left side or the back or front of the vehicle. Having to google part numbers to determine which area of the car was for was quite inconvenient. Other than that it was a great experience with great prices!
