Facet 13-62-7-568-422 Engine Knock Sensor

The Facet 13-62-7-568-422 is a high-quality ignition knock (detonation) sensor designed as a direct replacement for BMW OEM part numbers 12141435485, 13627568422, and 7568422. Facet is a leading European aftermarket manufacturer specializing in engine management components and thermostats for BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi, Volvo, Mini, and other European car manufacturers.

Function and Operation:

Screwed onto the cylinder block of the engine, typically below the intake manifold, knock sensors detect if the outbreak of the mixture in the cylinders occurs incorrectly - in detonation conditions. The electronic control unit determines which engine cylinder has detonation through signals emitted by the knock sensors, and reacts by reducing pressure in the cylinder or adjusting combustion temperature through mixture enrichment. This allows the sensor to detect engine ping and change timing accordingly, preventing engine damage and maintaining optimal performance.

Key Features:

• Fully compatible with original BMW part numbers 12141435485, 13627568422, and 7568422
• OEM quality construction - no compromise in quality
• Made in Italy - OE equivalent quality
• Direct fit replacement sensor
• Precise detonation detection for engine protection

All Facet items ensure high performance and durability so that your vehicle performs well even in the harshest conditions. This knock sensor provides reliable engine protection by detecting and preventing harmful detonation that can lead to serious engine damage.
