Mustang Survival 79722 HIT Hydrostatic Inflator for Inflatable PFDs

The Mustang Survival 79722 HIT (Hydrostatic Inflator Technology) Hydrostatic Inflator is a replacement and compatible inflation mechanism designed for use with Mustang Survival inflatable personal flotation devices (PFDs). This inflator automatically activates upon immersion in water at a depth of approximately 4 inches, providing reliable, hands-free inflation without requiring manual intervention.

Key Features:

• Hydrostatic inflator technology — activates automatically at approximately 4 inches of water depth
• Designed for use with Mustang Survival inflatable PFD bladders
• Reliable single-use mechanism — replacement required after each activation
• Compatible with standard Mustang Survival inflatable life jacket systems
• Helps prevent accidental inflation from rain or spray
• Coast Guard-accepted inflation mechanism

The HIT inflator offers a significant advantage over standard water-soluble pill auto-inflators by reducing the risk of inadvertent deployment caused by heavy rain, spray, or wet environments. Once the inflator is submerged to the activation depth, the mechanism releases and inflates the PFD bladder automatically. Replacement of the inflator and CO2 cylinder is required after every activation or annual service cycle.
