Mustang Survival 78140 Hydrostatic Inflator HIT Rearming Kit for Inflatable PFDs

The Mustang Survival 78140 is a Hydrostatic Inflator Technology (HIT) rearming and replacement kit designed for use with compatible Mustang Survival inflatable personal flotation devices (PFDs). The HIT mechanism provides an automatic inflation backup system that activates when submerged in water, offering an additional layer of safety for mariners, boaters, and water sports enthusiasts.

Key Features:

• Hydrostatic Inflator Technology (HIT): Automatically inflates the PFD upon submersion to a depth of approximately 4 inches (10 cm) in water
• Designed as a rearming and replacement component for Mustang Survival inflatable PFDs equipped with HIT inflator mechanisms
• Includes CO2 cylinder and inflator head assembly needed to rearm the PFD after deployment or inspection
• Provides reliable, water-activated auto-inflation as a secondary inflation method alongside manual pull-tab activation
• Manufactured to meet rigorous U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) standards for inflatable PFD components
• Compatible with select Mustang Survival inflatable life jacket models — refer to your PFD manual for compatibility

Regular inspection and rearming of your inflatable PFD is essential for ensuring it will perform when needed. The Mustang Survival 78140 makes it straightforward to restore your PFD to full operational readiness. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions included with the kit for proper installation.
