Mustang Survival 76991 Hydrostatic Release Unit (HRU) for Inflatable PFDs

The Mustang Survival 76991 is a Hydrostatic Release Unit (HRU) designed for use with Mustang Survival inflatable personal flotation devices (PFDs). This automatic activation mechanism triggers the inflation of a compatible life jacket when submerged to a preset depth, providing an additional layer of protection in man-overboard or immersion scenarios where a conscious manual deployment may not be possible.

Key Features:

• Automatic hydrostatic activation — inflates the PFD upon submersion to the designated depth
• Designed as a replacement or compatible HRU for Mustang Survival inflatable PFDs
• Compact, reliable mechanism built to marine safety standards
• Easy to inspect and replace as part of routine PFD maintenance
• Provides peace of mind in commercial, recreational, and offshore applications

Regular inspection and timely replacement of the HRU is essential to ensure your inflatable PFD performs as intended in an emergency. Always verify compatibility with your specific Mustang Survival PFD model before installation, and follow all manufacturer guidelines for proper servicing intervals.
