The S&S Cycle 583 Gear Drive Camshaft Kit delivers strong low-end torque and horsepower for Harley-Davidson Twin Cam engines. Optimized for Softail and Dyna models, this cam produces power where you need it most: 1500-5000 rpm. With .583-inch valve lift on both intake and exhaust, this performance cam provides a noticeable increase in power throughout the entire rpm range.

Gear Drive Advantages:

• Increases valve timing accuracy by eliminating timing chain lash and loosely-fit stock chain
• Reverses the rear cam's direction of rotation, providing additional operating clearance between cam lobes, making higher cam lifts possible

• Due to inherent characteristics of gear drives, more valve train noise may be heard
• Installer must check coil bind, valve-to-valve clearance, and valve-to-piston clearance
• Not recommended for engines with compression ratios greater than 10:1
