USA Standard Gear ZMM5R2-15 M5R2 5th & Reverse Synchro Sleeve

The USA Standard Gear ZMM5R2-15 is a 5th and reverse gear synchronizer sleeve designed for M5R2 manual transmissions in 1988-1991 Ford F-150 trucks. This is the non-updated version featuring a 42-tooth design, which was used in early production F-150 models before Ford updated the transmission components.

Key Features:

• 42-tooth synchronizer sleeve for non-updated M5R2 transmissions
• Controls engagement of 5th gear and reverse gear
• Direct replacement for worn or damaged original equipment
• Manufactured by USA Standard Gear, a trusted source for quality transmission and differential parts

Application Notes:

• Fits non-updated M5R2 transmissions (see ZMM5R2-15A for updated version)
• The M5R2 is a top-loaded aluminum 5-speed transmission with integrated bell housing and fully synchronized gears with brass synchronizer rings
• It is recommended to inspect the 5th/reverse assembly for updates before ordering parts
• The updated version (ZMM5R2-15A) uses a 33-tooth design for 1992 and newer applications

This replacement synchronizer sleeve is essential for maintaining smooth shifting operation between 5th gear and reverse. Professional installation is recommended for proper transmission rebuild and synchronizer assembly.
