USA Standard Gear ZMG56-77 G56 Manual Transmission Synchro Keys Cast Iron

The USA Standard Gear ZMG56-77 synchro keys are precision-engineered cast iron components designed for G56 6-speed manual transmissions. These synchronizer keys, also known as strut keys or detent keys, are critical internal components that work within the synchronizer assembly to facilitate smooth, clash-free gear engagement.

Key Features:

• Cast iron construction for superior durability and wear resistance
• Precision-engineered to OEM specifications for proper fit and function
• Essential components that move with the sliding sleeve to engage synchronizer rings
• Help maintain transmission in gear and prevent unwanted gear disengagement
• Replacement parts for worn or damaged synchro keys during transmission rebuilds

What They Do:

Synchro keys are positioned within the synchronizer hub assembly and work in conjunction with the sliding sleeve and synchronizer rings to coordinate shaft speeds during gear shifts. These keys engage the blocking ring against the gear cone to match speeds before completing the shift, enabling the smooth, synchronized shifting that manual transmissions are known for. They also provide the holding force that keeps the transmission securely in gear during operation.

Application Note:

Designed specifically for G56 manual transmissions found in heavy-duty truck applications. Reverse gear components sold separately. USA Standard Gear manufactures a complete line of transmission components to meet all your rebuild and repair needs.
