Wells 2M1310 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid

The Wells 2M1310 is a direct-replacement vapor canister purge solenoid designed to control the flow of fuel vapors from the EVAP canister to the engine intake manifold. This emission control component plays a critical role in reducing hydrocarbon emissions while improving fuel efficiency by allowing stored fuel vapors to be burned during engine operation.

Key Features:

• Precision-engineered solenoid valve for reliable vapor flow control
• Direct OE replacement design for proper fit and function
• Durable construction to withstand engine bay heat and vibration
• Helps maintain proper emission system operation and prevent check engine lights
• Manufactured by Wells, a trusted name in automotive engine management components

This purge solenoid is electronically controlled by the vehicle's powertrain control module (PCM) to open and close at precisely timed intervals, ensuring optimal purge flow rates. A faulty purge solenoid can cause rough idle, poor fuel economy, failed emissions tests, or trigger diagnostic trouble codes related to the EVAP system.
