Wells 2M1670 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid

The Wells 2M1670 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid is a direct-replacement emission control component engineered to manage fuel vapor recovery in your vehicle's evaporative emission (EVAP) system. This solenoid controls the flow of fuel vapors stored in the charcoal canister, routing them into the engine intake manifold where they can be burned during combustion, reducing harmful emissions and improving fuel efficiency.

Key Features:

• Engineered and tested to match OE specifications in fit, form, and function
• High-grade materials resist extreme underhood temperature changes
• Robust plunger design prevents premature leaks and component failure
• OE-matched electrical connector ensures proper fitment and reliable operation
• Helps maintain proper emission controls and prevents check engine light codes
• Direct replacement for failed original equipment

Wells Vehicle Electronics has been a trusted source of advanced vehicle electronics and engine management components for over a century. The vapor canister purge solenoid is controlled by the engine control module (ECM), which opens the valve based on various operating conditions including engine temperature, speed, and load. When this component fails, symptoms may include rough idle, check engine light illumination, fuel odor, or failed emissions testing.
