Asco 8214280CCSA 2-Inch Gas Shutoff Solenoid Valve with Proof of Closure

The Asco 8214280CCSA is a 2-inch normally closed solenoid valve designed for on-off control of fuel gas in commercial and industrial gas burner applications. This direct-acting valve features a unique double-disc design with overtravel that provides redundant sealing for leak-tight shutoff in the closed position, ensuring reliable performance on pilot or main gas lines.

Key Specifications:

• 2-inch NPT or flange connection
• Normally closed (NC) operation
• 0-5 PSI operating pressure range
• 120V AC operation
• 55 Cv flow coefficient
• 2,940,500 BTU/hr gas capacity
• Aluminum body construction
• NBR (nitrile rubber) seals and disc
• 305 stainless steel core tube
• NEMA 1 enclosure

Safety Features:

• Proof of closure switch (1-amp SPST) provides electrical confirmation of valve closed position
• Visual indicator shows open/shut position for easy status verification
• 1/8-inch NPT downstream pipe tap with plug for routine leak testing
• UL, CSA, and FM approved for general purpose and safety shutoff applications

The suffix "CCSA" indicates this model includes both the proof of closure switch and visual indicator, meeting agency and code requirements for electrical interlock and visual confirmation. The proof of closure switch is factory-set and not field adjustable. This valve must be mounted with the solenoid vertical and upright for proper operation.

Ideal for natural gas fired boilers, furnaces, grain dryers, kilns, gas generators, and commercial kitchen equipment where reliable fuel gas shutoff and safety verification are critical.
