Wells 2M1297 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid Valve

The Wells 2M1297 is a direct-fit Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid Valve designed to restore proper evaporative emissions system (EVAP) function. This solenoid regulates the flow of fuel vapors from the charcoal canister to the intake manifold, where they are burned off rather than released into the atmosphere — keeping your vehicle compliant with emissions standards and running cleanly.

The purge solenoid is a critical component of the EVAP system. When it fails, it commonly triggers a Check Engine Light along with diagnostic trouble codes such as P0441, P0443, or P0446. Replacing a faulty solenoid with a quality unit like the Wells 2M1297 resolves these issues and restores proper vacuum and vapor flow control.
