Wells 2M1578 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid / Purge Valve

The Wells 2M1578 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid (also called a vapor canister purge valve or EVAP purge solenoid) is part of the vehicle's evaporative emission control system. It takes fuel vapors stored in the vapor canister and routes them into the intake stream. The engine burns the vapors instead of releasing them into the atmosphere.

• Opens and closes on command from the Engine Control Module, based on operating conditions, to meter vapor flow to the intake
• Engineered and tested to match OE parts in fit, form and function
