Wells 1A1140 EGR Tube Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe

The Wells 1A1140 is a direct-fit replacement EGR tube (exhaust gas recirculation tube) engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications for fit, form, and function. The EGR tube is a critical connecting component within the exhaust gas recirculation system, routing exhaust gases from the exhaust manifold or EGR valve back into the intake manifold.

How the EGR System Works:

The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system is designed to reduce harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by recirculating a portion of the engine's inert exhaust gases back into the combustion chamber, where they mix with the incoming air/fuel charge. This lowers combustion temperatures and significantly reduces pollutant output.

Key Features:

• Designed to meet or exceed OE specifications for precise fit and reliable sealing
• Manufactured to restore proper EGR system flow and function
• Resistant to high exhaust temperatures and corrosive gases
• Direct replacement for the original EGR tube — no modification required
• Part of Wells Vehicle Electronics' comprehensive EGR system component lineup

A damaged, cracked, or leaking EGR tube can result in exhaust leaks, failed emissions tests, elevated NOx output, rough idle, and illumination of the Check Engine Light. Replacing a faulty EGR tube with the Wells 1A1140 restores proper system operation and helps maintain emissions compliance.
