Product Details

The USA Standard Gear 78238 is a 5th gear update kit designed specifically for AX15 manual transmissions found in Jeep and Chrysler vehicles. This kit addresses common wear issues in the 5th gear assembly, providing upgraded components to restore or improve transmission performance.

Key Features:

  • Direct replacement for worn 5th gear components in AX15 transmissions
  • Includes updated gear design for improved durability and longevity
  • Manufactured by USA Standard Gear to OEM specifications
  • Reduces 5th gear noise and grinding common in high-mileage AX15 units
  • Compatible with Jeep Wrangler YJ/TJ and Cherokee XJ models with AX15 transmission

This kit is ideal for transmission rebuilds or addressing 5th gear synchro problems. The AX15 is a popular 5-speed manual transmission used in various Jeep applications from 1988-1999, and 5th gear wear is a common issue that this update kit effectively resolves.
