Gates 65005 Premium Modular Coolant Hose

The Gates 65005 Premium Modular Coolant Hose is an application-specific replacement coolant hose engineered to match OEM assembly configurations. Gates is the automotive aftermarket leader in the modular assembly coolant hose segment, delivering a factory-correct fit that eliminates the need for an OE dealership visit.

This modular hose is built to replicate the exact geometry and integrated components of the original equipment hose, including features such as hose branches, quick-connectors, sensors, and restrictors where applicable. The result is a direct, confidence-inspiring replacement that installs correctly the first time.

Key Features:

• EPDM Construction: EPDM tube with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement and a heat-, ozone-, and chemical-coolant-resistant EPDM cover for long service life
• Electrochemical Degradation (ECD) Resistance: Engineered with compounds specifically formulated to resist ECD — the leading cause of coolant hose failure
• Vacuum Collapse Resistance: Re-engineered materials help the hose maintain its shape under negative pressure conditions
• OEM-Integrated Components: Manufactured to include essential OE components such as branch connectors, quick-connect fittings, sensors, and restrictors as required by the application
• Wide Temperature Range: Rated from -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C) for reliable performance in extreme conditions
• SAE Certified: Meets SAE 20R3 EC Class D1 for hose IDs under 25mm (1 in.) and SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 for IDs 25mm (1 in.) and over

Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed to ensure a proper seal and prevent future leaks.
