Wells 5S5034 Throttle Position Sensor TPS

The Wells 5S5034 Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is an essential engine management component that monitors the angle of the throttle plate as the driver presses the accelerator pedal. This sensor sends a precise voltage signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM), which uses this data to command the fuel injection, ignition timing, and transmission systems for optimal engine performance.

Key Features:

• Designed and manufactured to meet or exceed OE specifications for performance and durability
• Precision metering for accurate throttle response and long-lasting reliability
• Direct replacement for worn or malfunctioning original equipment sensors
• Includes all necessary hardware for complete installation
• Backed by Wells Vehicle Electronics' 120+ years of automotive electronics expertise

A malfunctioning throttle position sensor can cause serious drivability issues including hesitation, stalling, surging, rough idle, or no-start conditions. It may also trigger the Check Engine Light (CEL) or Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) and set diagnostic trouble codes in the ECM. The Wells 5S5034 TPS restores proper engine management communication to eliminate these symptoms and restore smooth, responsive performance.
