Wells 5S2179 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor

The Wells 5S2179 Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor is designed to detect preignition, a phenomenon that occurs when the air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber ignites before the spark plug fires. The engine control module uses the Knock Sensor's data to adjust the ignition timing and injection pulse width.
