Wells 2N1034 Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid EVAP Emission Control

The Wells 2N1034 is a direct-fit replacement Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid engineered for precise OE-matched performance in your vehicle's evaporative emission control (EVAP) system. This solenoid controls the flow of outside air into the charcoal-filled vapor canister, enabling proper purging of fuel vapors during normal engine operation.

Key Features:

• Engineered and tested to match OE parts in fit, form, and function
• Compatible with both domestic and imported vehicle applications
• Includes OE-style brackets, hardware, and electrical connectors where applicable
• Built to restore proper EVAP system function and prevent fuel vapor leaks
• Helps eliminate EVAP-related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and check engine lights

How It Works:

The vapor canister vent solenoid allows outside air to be drawn into the charcoal canister, which is essential for purging stored fuel vapors back into the engine during normal operation. When this solenoid fails, the EVAP system cannot vent or purge correctly, often resulting in a check engine light, failed emissions test, or fuel odors near the vehicle. The solenoid is typically located on or near the vapor canister, close to the fuel tank.
