Product Details

The WAI Distributors 6971N is a high-performance permanent magnet gear reduction (PMGR) starter motor designed for reliable engine starting power. This 12-volt starter features a 9-tooth drive pinion with clockwise rotation, making it a direct replacement for OEM applications requiring these specifications.

Key Features:

  • 12-volt PMGR (Permanent Magnet Gear Reduction) design for efficient power delivery
  • 9-tooth drive pinion for proper flywheel engagement
  • Clockwise (CW) rotation configuration
  • Compact gear reduction design provides high torque in a smaller package
  • Direct-fit replacement for compatible OEM starter motors
  • Manufactured to meet or exceed OEM specifications

PMGR starters offer several advantages over traditional starter designs, including reduced weight, improved cold-weather performance, and lower current draw. The gear reduction mechanism multiplies torque efficiently, providing strong cranking power while maintaining a compact footprint. This makes the 6971N an excellent choice for replacement applications where space is at a premium.
