Wells 5S5318 Throttle Position Sensor TPS

The Wells 5S5318 Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) monitors the position of the throttle blade within the throttle body, allowing the engine control module to determine the proper amount of fuel for the cylinders as well as ignition timing, transmission shifting and more. This sensor measures the angle of the throttle plate as the driver presses on the accelerator pedal and sends a voltage signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM).
