Wells 2M1585 Vapor Canister Purge Valve Solenoid

The Wells 2M1585 is a direct-fit replacement vapor canister purge valve (EVAP purge solenoid) designed to restore proper evaporative emissions system function. This solenoid valve routes fuel vapors stored in the charcoal canister back into the intake stream, where they are burned in the combustion chamber rather than vented to the atmosphere.

The Engine Control Module (ECM) commands the valve to open or close based on operating conditions, precisely metering vapor flow. A failed purge valve can trigger a Check Engine light, cause poor fuel economy, rough idle, or failed emissions testing.

Key Features:

• Direct-fit OE replacement — engineered to match OE parts in fit, form, and function
• 3-port vacuum port configuration
• Compatible with both domestic and import applications
• Includes OE-style brackets, hardware, and electrical connectors where applicable
• Designed and tested to meet or exceed original equipment specifications

OEM Cross-Reference Part Numbers: 14931-40U00, 14931-40U01, 14931-40U0B
