Wells 2M1492 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid Valve

The Wells 2M1492 is a direct-fit vapor canister purge solenoid valve engineered to restore proper evaporative emission control (EVAP) system function. The purge solenoid controls the flow of fuel vapors from the charcoal canister to the intake manifold, where they are burned as part of normal combustion rather than vented to the atmosphere.

A failed purge solenoid commonly triggers a Check Engine Light along with EVAP-related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Replacing the solenoid with a quality unit like the Wells 2M1492 helps restore proper fuel vapor management, improve fuel economy, and ensure emissions compliance.
