Wells 2M1470 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid

The Wells 2M1470 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid is a direct-fit OE replacement component for your vehicle's evaporative emission control (EVAP) system. The purge solenoid plays a critical role in emissions management by drawing fuel vapors stored in the charcoal vapor canister into the intake stream, where they are burned in the combustion chamber rather than released into the atmosphere.

The Engine Control Module (ECM) controls the solenoid's operation, opening and closing the valve based on real-time engine operating conditions to optimize combustion efficiency and maintain emissions compliance. A failed purge solenoid can result in a rough idle, increased fuel consumption, failed emissions tests, or an illuminated Check Engine Light (CEL).

Key Features:

• Engineered and tested to match OE parts in fit, form, and function
• Designed to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
• Compatible with both domestic and imported vehicle applications
• Includes OE-style brackets, hardware, and electrical connectors where applicable
• Ensures proper fuel vapor routing and EVAP system integrity
• Helps prevent failed emissions tests and CEL illumination

Typically located under the hood near the intake manifold, the Wells 2M1470 installs using existing mounting points for a straightforward, no-modification replacement. This unit is sold as a single solenoid (1 Pack).
