The ACM 68004915AA is a thermally-activated viscous fan clutch designed as a direct replacement for Dodge and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 and 3500 vans. This critical cooling system component regulates engine temperature by controlling when the radiator fan engages and disengages based on engine temperature.

How It Works: The fan clutch uses a temperature-sensitive internal mechanism with silicone fluid that locks up when the engine reaches operating temperature, allowing the fan to spin at full speed to cool the engine. When the engine is cooler, the clutch disengages, reducing fan speed to save fuel and minimize noise.
