Genuine 642-140-13-08 EGR Tube Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Mercedes-Benz 3.0L Diesel

The Genuine Mercedes-Benz 642-140-13-08 is an OEM Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) tube — also referred to as an EGR pipe or exhaust pipe — designed for Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with the OM642 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel engine. This elbow-style tube connects the EGR cooler to the exhaust collector at the turbocharger, forming a critical link in the engine's high-pressure EGR loop.

The OM642's EGR system routes a metered amount of exhaust gas back into the intake to reduce combustion temperatures and lower NOx emissions. Over time, heat cycling, soot deposits, and corrosion can degrade the EGR tube, leading to exhaust leaks, emissions faults, or reduced engine performance. Replacing it with a Genuine OEM part ensures a precise fit and restores proper EGR system function.
