Autopart International 2504-04071 Distributor Cap

The Autopart International 2504-04071 is a high-quality replacement distributor cap designed to protect your distributor's internal components while ensuring reliable ignition system performance. This cap features durable polypropylene construction that provides excellent resistance to heat, moisture, and electrical breakdown.

Key Features:

• 7-terminal configuration for proper spark distribution
• Screw-down attachment method for secure mounting
• Top tower position design
• Male coil terminal for direct connection
• High dielectric strength polypropylene material resists carbon tracking and arc-through
• Includes mounting screws for easy installation

Distributor caps play a critical role in older ignition systems by connecting the spark plug wires to the distributor and routing high-voltage current from the ignition coil to the appropriate spark plug at precisely the right time. This replacement cap restores proper ignition timing and helps prevent misfires, rough idle, and poor engine performance caused by worn or damaged distributor caps.
