Wiseco K0029B15 Forged Piston Set SBC 18-Degree 1.000 CH +3cc Dome Gas Ported

The Wiseco K0029B15 is a forged piston set engineered specifically for Small Block Chevy (SBC) engines built with 18-degree cylinder heads. Designed for serious race engine builders, this set features a +3cc positive dome, a 1.000" compression height, and gas porting to maximize ring seal and combustion efficiency at high RPM.

Gas porting — a series of small vertical ports drilled above the top ring land — equalizes pressure behind the top ring during combustion, forcing the ring outward against the cylinder wall for a tighter seal. This is a widely used technique in professional drag racing and circle track engine builds to reduce blow-by and improve power output.

Wiseco forged pistons in the K-series professional line are machined from high-strength forged aluminum alloy with fully machined crowns, providing superior strength and dimensional accuracy compared to cast pistons. The 18-degree head configuration is a popular choice in high-performance and race SBC builds, and the K0029B15 is purpose-built to complement that platform. Rings and wrist pins are not included.
