Wiseco KE198M815AP VW MkII 1.8L 8V Forged Piston Set 81.5mm Bore 8.0:1 CR

The Wiseco KE198M815AP is a Professional Series forged piston set engineered for the Volkswagen MkII platform running the 1.8L 8V engine (PG/G60 engine code). Featuring an 81.50mm bore (+0.020 in. oversize) and a low 8.0:1 compression ratio, this set is purpose-built for forced-induction applications where a reduced compression ratio is essential for reliable, high-boost performance.

Key Specifications:

• Bore Diameter: 81.50 mm (+0.020 in. over)
• Compression Ratio: 8.0:1
• Compression Height: 39.50 mm (1.555 in.)
• Stroke: 86.4 mm (3.402 in.) — standard
• Rod Length: 136 mm (5.354 in.)
• Pin Diameter: 22.00 mm (0.866 in.) x 2.500 in.
• Head Volume: -16.5cc dish

Key Features:

• ArmorGlide® Skirt Coating (AP): Provides seizure resistance, reduces friction, and enables quieter operation compared to the non-AP version
• 2618 Forged Aluminum Construction: Engineered and machined in the USA at Wiseco's Mentor, Ohio facility for superior tensile strength and durability
• Professional Series Design: No-expense-spared construction built for heavy to severe-duty race builds
• Premium Ring Set Included: Ready for installation out of the box
• Low 8.0:1 Compression: Ideal for high-boost turbo applications requiring headroom under pressure

The KE198M815AP is the ArmorPlated upgrade over the standard KE198M815, delivering enhanced skirt durability for sustained high-performance use. Compression ratio is based on a 1.65mm head gasket. Always verify piston-to-valve clearance during assembly.
