Genuine BMW 11-15-7-848-155 Oil Separator Crankcase Ventilation Valve

The Genuine BMW 11-15-7-848-155 is an oil separator and crankcase ventilation valve designed for the 4.0L V8 engine found in 2008-2013 BMW M3 models (E90/E92/E93 chassis). This critical engine component is also known as the CCV valve, PCV valve, or crankcase pressure regulator valve.

Key Features:

• Genuine BMW OEM part for guaranteed fit and performance
• Separates oil vapor from crankcase blow-by gases before recirculation
• Regulates crankcase pressure and prevents excessive oil consumption
• Routes filtered gases back through the intake manifold for proper combustion
• Integrated into the valve cover assembly on M3 applications
• Replaces BMW part number 11-15-7-838-274

This oil separator plays a vital role in your BMW's emissions control system by recycling crankcase gases instead of venting them to the atmosphere. The valve features internal baffles and filtration media that remove excess oil droplets from blow-by gases before they re-enter the intake system. When functioning properly, this system protects engine components from oil contamination, maintains proper air/fuel ratios, and ensures optimal engine performance. Failure symptoms include rough idle, increased oil consumption, oil leaks, whistling sounds from the intake, and check engine light illumination.
