This blocked vent switch is an essential safety device that detects improper venting conditions caused by blocked flue pipes, inadequate draft, or combustion problems. When flue gases cannot properly exhaust from the system, temperatures rise and trigger the switch, preventing potential carbon monoxide hazards and equipment damage. The manual reset feature requires physical intervention to restart the boiler, ensuring that the underlying problem has been identified and corrected before resuming operation.
