Product Details

The Burnham 109742-01 is a manual reset blocked vent safety switch designed for use with Burnham residential and light commercial gas-fired boilers. This critical safety component monitors exhaust vent temperatures and shuts down the boiler when temperatures exceed safe operating levels, protecting against dangerous blocked vent conditions.

Key Features:

  • 200°F temperature setpoint for optimal safety protection
  • Manual reset operation requires physical button press to restart after tripping
  • TI 1NT08L5099 model designation for precise replacement matching
  • Normally closed contacts that open when limit temperature is reached
  • Direct replacement for Burnham ES2, IQ Series, X-Series, and other atmospheric gas boilers
  • Prevents operation until blocked vent condition is investigated and resolved

This vent safety switch is engineered to detect abnormal flue gas temperatures that indicate potential vent blockages, backdrafting, or other hazardous exhaust conditions. The manual reset feature ensures that a qualified technician must inspect the system before the boiler can resume operation, providing an essential layer of protection for building occupants.

The phone associate I spoke with was courteous and very efficient. I obtained the info I requested quickly. He confirmed that the items were in stock and ready to go and could be shipped the next day. He suggested that I go ahead and use the on-line order system as it would be faster as his system was slower than normal at that moment. I did this and was through the process quickly. The whole process inspired confidence and satisfaction. Thank you very much.
