Nortec 2598427 Air Proving Switch Single Pole Duct Mounted

The Nortec 2598427 is a single-pole, duct-mounted air proving switch (also called an airflow switch or differential pressure switch). It confirms that air is moving through the duct before the humidifier is allowed to operate.

Key Features:

• Single-pole (SP) switch for humidifier control circuits
• Duct-mounted design that senses the differential air pressure created by the blower or air handler
• Mechanical differential pressure switch that is factory-calibrated
• Switchpoint adjusted using an internal precision scale
• Supplied with a connection set (2 m connection hose, two pressure connection nipples and screws) and a mounting ring

The switch is intended for clean air and other non-aggressive, non-combustible gaseous media. It is used for airflow detection and helps protect the humidifier system by keeping it from running without airflow.
