Parker Hannifin 902919P OROA-5 Head Pressure Control Valve 5/8" ODF 180 PSI

The Parker Hannifin 902919P is a Type OROA-5 non-adjustable head pressure control valve designed for refrigeration and HVAC systems operating in low ambient conditions. This valve performs the critical function of maintaining proper head pressure by limiting refrigerant flow from the condenser while simultaneously regulating hot gas flow around the condenser to the receiver.

Key Features:

• 5/8 inch ODF (Outside Diameter Flare) solder connections on all three ports
• Factory preset at 180 PSI pressure setting for consistent operation
• Brass body construction with copper connections for durability and corrosion resistance
• Diaphragm-sensing mechanism that opens on rise of outlet pressure
• Integrated 40-mesh insertable inlet strainer for system protection
• Design working pressure of 450 PSI (31 bar)
• Compatible with R22, R134a, R404a, and R507 refrigerants
• Factory tested for positive leak-free performance

The OROA-5 valve prevents issues associated with low ambient operation, including insufficient head pressure, low suction pressure, iced evaporator coils, and refrigerant migration during off-cycles. By backing up liquid refrigerant into the condenser and raising receiver pressure with hot gas, this valve ensures the system maintains proper condensing pressure and normal operation even in cold weather conditions. Ideal for air-cooled condensers in residential, commercial, and packaged HVAC units.
