KMC Controls CSP-5001 VAV Air Flow Controller

The KMC Controls CSP-5001 is a pressure-independent analog electronic combination controller-actuator designed for variable air volume (VAV) terminal units in commercial HVAC systems. Air flow is sensed using a single or multi-point differential pressure measuring station or pitot tube, providing precise control of air distribution throughout the building.

Key Features:

• Onboard flow-through sensor with twin platinum resistance temperature detectors controls velocity setpoints from 0 to 3,300 fpm with 3% accuracy
• 24V operation at 4VA with 50 in-lb torque output and 90-degree rotation at 18 degrees per minute
• Factory-set for counter-clockwise (CCW) to close operation
• Tri-color LED indicates green for opening, red for closing, and white for satisfied damper positions
• Actuator section features adjustable stops, magnetic clutch, and gear disengagement button
• Reset voltage 0-10 VDC for integration with building automation systems
• Direct couples to 1/2 inch damper shaft

The CSP-5001 offers full range flow control of VAV terminal units when used with CTE-5xxx series room thermostats, with air velocity limits adjustable either at the thermostat or internally. Control options include proportional or two-position electric or hot-water reheat, changeover, dual minimums, fan induction, dual duct, and automation interface.
