Wiseco RED0006X05 RED Series Forged Piston Set +0.005 Over

The Wiseco RED0006X05 is part of Wiseco's RED Series (Race Engineered Design™) forged piston set line, purpose-built for performance domestic V8 applications. The X05 suffix denotes a +0.005-inch overbore specification, making this set ideal for engine rebuilds requiring a slight bore correction while maintaining precise fitment tolerances.

Key Features:

• 2618 Forged Aluminum Construction — Engineered, forged, and machined in the USA from 2618 aluminum alloy, delivering the tensile strength required for performance racing and power adder applications
• Race Engineered Design™ (RED) — Dedicated engine-specific strutted forgings optimize the strength-to-weight ratio for maximum durability under high-stress conditions
• ArmorGlide® Skirt Coating — Reduces operating friction and noise while minimizing skirt and cylinder wall wear for extended service life
• Horizontal Slot Pin Bore Oiling — Maintains optimal wrist pin and small-end rod lubrication, critical for longevity in high-RPM applications
• Accumulator Groove — Helps maintain consistent ring seal and oil control for reliable compression across the full RPM range
• Precision-Machined Features — CNC-machined to tight tolerances for consistent fit and performance across all cylinders in the set
• +0.005" Overbore — Designed for bores opened up 0.005 inches over standard, suitable for light cylinder cleanup during engine rebuilds

Wiseco RED Series piston sets are engineered for a wide range of competitive domestic V8 platforms, from drag racing to circle track applications. The RED Series delivers the ultimate balance of performance and value for builders who demand race-proven reliability.
