Carrier EA02SC213 Thermostatic Expansion Valve 15 Ton 5/8" x 1-3/8" ODF R22

The Carrier EA02SC213 is a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) designed for commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems. This externally equalized valve is rated for 15-ton capacity and is engineered specifically for use with R22 refrigerant applications.

Key Features:

• 15-ton refrigeration capacity for large commercial systems
• 5/8" ODF inlet connection and 1-3/8" ODF outlet connection
• External equalizer design compensates for pressure drops in the evaporator
• Compatible with R22 refrigerant systems
• Maintains constant superheat for optimal system efficiency
• Factory Authorized Parts component for Carrier HVAC equipment

The external equalizer (ExtEq) design allows this TXV to accurately sense evaporator outlet pressure, ensuring proper refrigerant flow regulation even in systems with significant pressure drops. This valve automatically modulates refrigerant flow into the evaporator based on thermal load changes, maintaining optimal superheat levels and protecting the compressor from liquid floodback. The external equalizer line connects to the evaporator outlet, providing more accurate control than internally equalized valves in large-capacity systems.

This genuine OEM component is designed to meet Carrier's specifications for reliable performance and long service life in demanding commercial refrigeration and air conditioning applications.
