The Standard Motor Products LCM13747 is a liftgate control module, also called a power liftgate module or tailgate control unit. It is the electronic controller for a vehicle's power liftgate system.

What it does:

  • Processes open and close commands for the power liftgate
  • Monitors liftgate movement while it operates
  • Reverses the motor if it detects an obstruction, which helps prevent damage or injury

Installing this replacement module can restore normal power liftgate operation when the original controller has failed.
