Product Details

The NGK 24294 oxygen sensor (also called an O2 sensor or air-fuel ratio sensor) is a heated, direct-fit downstream replacement sensor. It is made by NTK, NGK's sensor brand. The sensor reads the amount of oxygen in the exhaust and sends voltage signals to the engine management system. The system uses those signals to regulate the air-fuel ratio for efficient combustion and lower emissions.

Key Features:

  • Heated, narrow-band switching zirconia design for quicker closed-loop activation and reduced cold-start emissions
  • Dual-coated platinum element for durability and fast response
  • OE-type connector and 4-wire harness, about 16.25 in. (406 mm) long, for plug-and-play installation
  • 18 mm thread diameter with 7/8 in. (22 mm) hex
  • Corrosion-resistant housing that protects the ceramic element from silicone and lead poisoning
  • Porous PTFE filter lets atmospheric oxygen in while keeping water and engine contaminants out
  • Each sensor goes through a multi-step test process for quality and durability

Cross-References: Replaces Toyota 8946552200, Bosch 15275, BWD OS1601, CARQUEST 75-2530, Delphi ES20103, DENSO 234-4069, Spectra Premium OS5529 and Standard Motor Products SG847.

A worn oxygen sensor can hurt fuel economy and drivability and can cause an emissions test failure. A new sensor restores accurate exhaust feedback to the engine computer.
