Broan-NuTone MD10TU 10-Inch Motorized Make-Up Air Damper with Pressure Sensor

The Broan-NuTone MD10TU is a motorized make-up air damper designed to automatically regulate fresh air intake in residential and commercial ventilation systems. This 10-inch damper features a spring-return motorized actuator that opens when the range hood operates and closes automatically when ventilation ceases, preventing energy loss and maintaining indoor comfort.

Key Features:

• Universal design works with most range hood brands and make-up air systems
• Integrated pressure sensor kit detects when ventilation system activates
• Spring-return motor ensures damper closes securely when not in use
• 10-inch diameter fits standard ductwork configurations
• Helps maintain proper air pressure balance in tightly sealed homes
• Prevents backdrafting of combustion appliances
• Reduces heating and cooling costs by minimizing unwanted air infiltration

This damper is essential for homes with high-CFM range hoods (typically 400+ CFM) where make-up air is required by building codes. The pressure sensor automatically triggers the damper to open, ensuring code compliance and optimal indoor air quality without manual intervention.
