Robertshaw 1970-018 18-Inch Universal Gas Thermocouple

The Robertshaw 1970-018 is an 18-inch universal gas thermocouple designed for use with residential and commercial gas appliances including water heaters, furnaces, and pool heaters. This reliable safety device monitors the pilot flame and automatically shuts off gas flow if the pilot light goes out, preventing dangerous gas leaks.

Key Features:

• 18-inch length provides versatile installation options for various appliance configurations
• Universal design fits most gas appliances with threaded connections
• Durable construction with heat-resistant materials for long service life
• Direct replacement for OEM thermocouples on many popular brands
• Easy installation with standard fittings

Thermocouples are essential safety components that generate a small electrical current when heated by the pilot flame. This current keeps the gas valve open; if the pilot goes out, the thermocouple cools, the current stops, and the valve closes automatically. The Robertshaw 1970-018 provides dependable performance and peace of mind for your gas-fired equipment.
