Product Details

The Maxitrol M420B-1/2 is a precision-engineered modulating gas valve designed for indirect fired atmospheric burners using the Maxitrol Selectra Series 94 Modulation System or SC10 Signal Conditioners. This valve provides responsive and stable control of gas flow, offering smooth, non-fluctuating adjustments for optimal burner performance and temperature control.

Key Features:

  • 1/2 inch NPT inlet and outlet connections with low-fire adjustment fittings on both sides
  • Voltage-controlled operation where increased voltage corresponds to increased outlet pressure
  • Outlet pressure range: 0.2 to 7.0 inches water column (17 mbar maximum)
  • Flow rate adjustment through integrated bypass
  • Maximum inlet pressure: 1/2 PSI
  • Operating temperature range: -40°F to 125°F (-40°C to 50°C)
  • Compatible with natural gas, mixed gas, manufactured gas, LP, and LP-air mixtures

Installation Requirements:

  • Must be installed in upright position in horizontal pipe run
  • Requires installation downstream of all controls except high pressure cut-off switch
  • Upstream pressure regulator required
  • Driven by A1094 or AD1094 amplifiers which supply voltage to the valve

This modulating valve is part of the Maxitrol Selectra system and is compatible with both Series 94 and A200 modulation systems. Professional installation by a licensed gas fitter is required.
