Mars 12918 Motor Run Capacitor 35 MFD 370 Volt Oval

The Mars 12918 is a heavy-duty motor run capacitor designed for HVAC and refrigeration applications. This oval-shaped capacitor delivers reliable performance with a 35 microfarad (MFD) rating at 370 volts AC, making it ideal for condenser fan motors, blower motors, and compressor applications in air conditioning systems, heat pumps, and commercial refrigeration equipment.

Key Features:

• 35 MFD capacitance rating at 370 VAC for consistent motor operation
• Oval metal housing for space-efficient mounting in tight compartments
• Dual quick-connect terminals for simplified installation
• Temperature rated from -40°F to 160°F for all-climate performance
• UL recognized component for safety and code compliance
• Self-healing metallized polypropylene film construction for extended service life

Motor run capacitors like the Mars 12918 remain in the circuit during motor operation to improve efficiency, reduce power consumption, and provide smoother motor performance. This capacitor is commonly used as a direct replacement for OEM capacitors in residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The oval design fits standard capacitor mounting brackets and allows for flexible installation orientation in condensing units and air handlers.
