Tecumseh 51082-2K Refrigerant Receiver Tank

The Tecumseh 51082-2K is a refrigerant receiver tank designed for commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration applications. This essential component serves as a storage vessel for liquid refrigerant, installed in the liquid line between the condenser and expansion valve.

Key Functions:

• Stores excess liquid refrigerant during varying heat load conditions
• Prevents liquid backup in the condenser coil, maintaining optimal condenser efficiency
• Ensures a steady supply of liquid refrigerant to the expansion device for reliable system performance
• Acts as a holding tank during pump-down operations for system maintenance and repairs
• Helps stabilize system pressure and prevents liquid slugging of the compressor

This Tecumseh receiver is engineered to provide dependable refrigerant storage in systems exposed to fluctuating cooling demands. The tank features durable construction suitable for use with various refrigerants in commercial refrigeration, air conditioning, and industrial cooling systems. Proper receiver sizing and installation ensures optimal system operation across all load conditions while providing a safe reservoir for the entire refrigerant charge during service procedures.
